We never really think we accomplish much - until we actually look!
At least that is how I usually feel!
In reviewing all of my photos it looks like 2025 was the year to finish a few longterm projects for two guild shows. The Rhododendron Quilt show was in April and the Silver City Quilt show was in September.
At the Rhododendron Quilt show "Garden Party Down Under" (pattern by Irene Black) received a second place ribbon and "Tilda's Delight" (pattern Afternoon Delight by Sue Garmen) received a first place ribbon and the Viewers Best of Show ribbon!
Tilda's Delight went on to represent RNQG at the New England Quilt Museum's Summer Celebration!!
That was such an honor!
In September at the Silver City Quilt show I had several quilts entered - the highlight was
my "Ships" quilt received JudgePat Harrison's Best of Show Award.
Along with Exemplary Hand Quilting and Applique Ribbons!!
Pinch Me!!!
Plus in December notifications went out and my "Ships" will be sailing into
AQS New England Quilt Show in April!!!
Still waiting to hear if she is accepted into the AQS Paducah show!!
That notification will be coming out in a few days!!
Happy that these three long term applique projects are done -
now to focus on two other applique projects that I have in the works!
Both are BOM's which will be shared at a later date!
My all time favorite fast and easy pattern for 2025 has been
"Iconic" by Vanessa Goertzen of Lella Boutique.
This is a versatile pattern that can be made as a baby mat play size
all the way up to a giant Queen or King size!!
The fun thing about this pattern is - it looks so different
depending on your fabric selection!!
Here are my "Iconic" finishes:
But you get the idea!!
Each block is 13" - a 3 block by 4 block (39" x 52")
make a great baby quilt!!
Other 2025 Finishes:
Just a few bags that were finished in 2025,
Was able to take a break from my quilting for my other hobby...
watercolor painting!!
Hmmmm ... Guess I was more productive than I thought!!!
Amazing what one accomplishes without really realizing it!
